[edit] General Description
This project will address Penn Ave. holistically. It will address Penn Ave as a thoroughfare, a business district, and a place where people walk and ride buses. It includes addressing intersection safety, lighting, pavement conditions, utilities, trash cans, bike racks, bus stops, and parking concerns. This project is being planned currently, and stimulus money would allow the project to address a much larger area in a shorter amount of time, instead of doing smaller multi-block sections as money becomes available. The Bloomfield Garfield Corp. has lead the effort to convene all concerned parties to make sure this project is looked at through every lens possible.
