Award Description: Funding under this Program will be used to retain two jobs that would be lost without additional funding, a Program Specialist and a Meetings and Trainings Coordinator. The Program Specialist will provide training, technical assistance and public policy information on domestic violence, sexual assault, and the economic empowernmet of women to member programs, allied professionals, and communities and assist with reporting to OVW including enhanced reporting specific to the ARRA funding. The Trainings and Meetings Coordinator will coordinate meetings and trainings of the Coalition related to domestic violence, sexual assault, and the economic empowernment of women and assist with reporting to OVW including enhanced reporting specific to ARRA funding.
Project Description: Hired a Meetings and Trainings Coordinator on August 1, 2009. The Meetings and Trainings Coordinator has assisted in planning and researching economic empowernment resources and speakers for our upcoming Annual Conference in March of 2010. Currently in the process of interviewing and hiring a Program Specialist.
