Award Description: The overall purpose of the ARRA funds received by Merck is to provide the CDC Project grantees vaccines for their respective Immunization Programs. In some instances, the ARRA funds will provide vaccines that would cover a budget shortfall in the program; in other instances, the ARRA funds will allow an expansion of services offered. Each grantee will determine the most appropriate use for said funding. Merck will deliver the vaccines in accordance with the CDC contracts under which the Projects currently order and access vaccines.
