Award Description: COLA: CFO received ARRA funds via DHHS/ACF, Office of Head Start, which must be utilized to provide a 1.84% COLA to all Head Start funded employees. No units of measure associated. QUALITY IMPROVEMENT: *Quality Improvement funds were received to add an additional week of work for part-year Head Start staff to allow for enhanced professional development prior to program start-up; and to increase weeks of service to align program year with public school year at two centers offering collaborative services with public schools. Units of measure will be in FTEs. Projected FTE = 1 *Funding has been provided to implement wage adjustments to bring Head Start employees in certain job classifications up to standard levels based upon recent wage survey. These funds are not associated with specific units of measure. *QI funds also provide for contracting a Facilities Coordinator to create a comprehensive facilities maintenance plan at CFO owned sites which have a federal lien interest, CFO playgrounds, and some leased properties. Consultant will develop an itemized, prioritized capital improvement plan with cost estimates including bid specifications for any complex projects identified. Consultant will also prepare recommendation for an economical, efficient facilities management plan that factors agency needs against resources. Deliverables measured upon completion of contract requirements. *One part-time position has been retained by ARRA QI funds to enhance our health and family services by supporting families with a variety of needs, challenges, and crises, while working with our part-year teaching staff to provide enhanced mentoring and case management for involved families. Units of measure will be in FTEs. Projected FTE = .25
