Award Description: To understand the function of organophosphates and interrelationship between environmental toxins and paraoxonase in oxidative stress and inflammation associated with Alzheimer's disease. The long-term goal of this project is to understand the role of environmental toxins and paraoxonase in oxidative stress in order to determine if alteration in the level of toxins is a potential therapeutic strategy for individuals with Alzheimer's disease.
