Award Description: Commissioning services for the Quarry Visitor Center at Dinosaur National Monument in Vernal, Utah. The commissioning consists of systematically documenting that specified components and systems have been desinged, installed and started up properly, and then functionally tested to verify and document proper operation through all modes and conditions. Commissioning is a systematic process of ensuring that building systems perform interactively according to the design intent and the NPS goals/operational needs. Commissioning during design is intended to acheive the following objectives: Provide commissioning focused design reviews, ensure that the design and operational intent are clearly documented, ensure that commissioning for the construction phase is adequately reflected in the contract documents.
Project Description: Developing and coordinating the execution of a design review and functional testing plan, and to observe and document performance. To determine whether systems are functioning in accordance with the documented design intent and in accordance with the contract documents. Reveiw of the project's design concept, design criteria, compliance with codes, design or general construction scheduling, cost estimating and construction managment.
