Award Description: The spread or metastasis of tumor cells to the lymph nodes of patients with oral cancer is the leading cause of treatment failure and death in this disease. An accurate and reliable clinical test to detect lymph metastasis in oral cancer patients will be investigated in this proposal. The identification and application of this test to the clinic should profoundly reduce oral cancer treatment failures and increase patient survivability.
