Award Description: The purpose of the House of Wellness Renovation was to improve patient care and confidentiality. The pharmacy has expanded and increased the number of prescriptions that it curently issues. The pharmacy has outgrown its present location. The renovation will also address Hippa and ADA needs within the facility. Objective 1: Plan and obtain design drawings and specifications Nov. 1, 2009 Objective 2: Advertise publically and solicit bids Nov.30, 2009 Objective 3: Bid award and Establish Contract Dec.15, 2009 Objective 4: Begin Construction on Phase I Jan 30, 2009 Objective 5: Construction on Phase 20Laboratory and reception---February 28, 2010 Objective 6: Construction of the Nurses Station and Doctor's Area April 2010 Objective 7: Complete remainder of construction and punch list items May 30, 2010 Objective 8: Final Inspection & Closeout June 30, 2010
Project Description: The Indian Health Service contract for the House of Wellness Renovation is expected within the next two weeks. Activities which have occurred in preparation for the contract include obtaining Area and Legislative Approval of the project. Working with outher tribal programs to complete the renovation. During this time we have addressed Objective 1. Objective 1 has been in process using tribal matching funds. An architect has been contracted and we have been working with him for the past 8 months to complete and the preliminery plan for the renovation. The Preliminery plan has been approved and the firm is now preparing specification and drawings for the bid docuiments. This objective will be completed by November 1st and meet the timeframe of the grant.
