Award Description: This grant awards funds made available to the Head Start program under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) to expand Head Start services to 36 additional children. This action awards $67,683 in start-up costs and $203,049 for prorated operations for the period September 30, 2009, through September 29, 2010 under CAN G09RO23. This action also awards $5,415 in training and technical assistance funds under CAN G09RO20. This grant funds 20 center based slots; start date 01/01/2010, and 16 home based slots; start date 01/01/2010. The approved service area is Beaver Creek & Yarnell in Yavapai County and Pinetop, Apache County, Arizona.
