Award Description: Scholarships for Disadvantaged Students awarded under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 will assist additional students with their program of study in specific healthcare fields. These funds will assist students in Pharmacy, Speech Pathology, Physician Assistant Program, and the Physical Therapy Program. Recipient selection is done by a committee and based on criteria established by scores on Exceptional Financial Need (EFN) and Financial Assistance for Disadvantaged Health Profession Students (FADHPS), Estimated Family Contribution (EFC), other scholarship information, family support, environmental definitions, household size, public assistance, and assessment of parental financial information (per eligibility under the low income levels provided).
