Award Description: This project seeks to reduce or eliminate the potential for introduction, establishment and spread of invasive species, which displace and compete with native species. This project will assist small forestland owners with identification and treatment of noxious weeds on their lands. Differing treatments will be used to eliminate these undesirable weeds. Work will be performed on approximately 320 acres of non-industrial forestland in Linn and Lane Counties.

Project Description: Currently ODF is identifying landowners to participate in this noxious weed treatment program to meet the objectives of the award.

Jobs Summary: This proposal aims to create jobs within the Linn and Lane County areas. Jobs creation starts with the restoration of one part-time ODF Stewardship Forester from layoff. In addition, five additional jobs may be created to treat noxious weeds. (Total jobs reported: 0)
