Award Description: To support the preservation of jobs that are threatened by declines in philanthropic and other support during the current economic downturn. This grant from the National Endowment for the Arts to provide grants to create/preserve jobs in the nonprofit arts sector

Conducted ARRA NEA sub-granting program workshop. Hired Grants Manager. Received and reviewed ARRA NEA sub-granting program applications. Convened grant review panel to score and evaluate twenty seven (27) eligible applications. Arts Commissioners and Board of Supervisors reviewed & approved seven (7) ARRA NEA sub-grants.
