Award Description: ARRA - Increase Services to Health Centers
Project Description: Expansion of the acute care service has resulted in the addition of available hours to 7am to 8pm weekdays and 8am to 4pm on Saturdays. This has resulted in more patients being seen on the same day they call for an appointment for their acute conditions. The goal is to expand the acute care service by expanding available hours to seven days a week, beginning Nov 2009, as well as to include xray services and necessary lab services avaiable. As new patients continue to be accepted into the practice via the acute care service, the will have the opportunity to select one of the existing primary care providers as their PCP.
