Award Description: To support the preservation of jobs that are threatened by declines in philanthropic and other support during the current economic downturn.
Project Description: 1. Lead Producer of L.A. Theatre Works' National Broadcast Series retained. The purpose and goals of the Lead Producer's continued employment are specifically to: advance our broadcast schedule by reformatting existing and new shows; develop and implement a free, on-demand streaming service catering to today’s Internet savvy audiences; add 10-25 new stations; and provide content development, production, and digital editing/mixing training to LATW’s staff to bring the entire production process of the Series in-house.
