Award Description: Highly Organized Two & Three Dimensional Single Walled Carbon Nanotubes - Polymer Hybrid Structures for Diverse Flexible Devices & Systems

Project Description: Under the support of NSF ARRA program, the PI hired one undergraduate and woman research assistant student, Rebecca Meritz (Mechanical Engineering, NEU). She is currently working on synthesis of ultra long and vertically aligned SWNTs. Also the PI admitted a Ph.D. student as a research assistant and the student will join PI?s group at January 2010. The PI started to work for the task 1 on building of vertically aligned SWNTs using CVD and fabrication of lateral SWNT network architectures using template guided fluidic assembly process. Also the PI is designing a new and high performance CVD system that will be used for the proposed project
