Award Description: Provide and install new tide gates and associated sitework and concrete work. Tide gates will enhance fish habitat and provide greater ease of passage of fish into and out of Winter Slough and Hampson Slough at the Julia Butler Hansen Columbia Whter Tailed Deer National Wildlife Refuge.
Project Description: Drove sheet piling and placed coffer dams on both sides of existing dike, excavated inside the sheet pile coffer dam, Installed a mud slab and concrete sill, excavated dike between sheet pilinngs, placed controlled density fill , installed a 72' HDPE pipe, Placed concrete headwalls on both sides, backfilled the pipe and installed tendons. Installed new tide gates on the riverward side, and restored the road pavement.
