Award Description: BRAC Task Order # 0047 - A/E Track, Stadium, and Ballfield Replacement Draft RFP, Fort Hood, Texas - This task order is for the preparation of multiple Design-Build RFPs for the construction of recreational facilities located on Fort Hood, in Killeen, Texas, including one RFP for the stadium and ball fields, and one for the demolition of the existing stadium. Primary facilities will include a 5,000 seat stadium, 1/4 mile running track around a flag football field, and a four field baseball complex with portable bleachers. Support facilities include access roadwork, parking, connection to main utility lines, possible construction of a lift station for sanitary sewer distribution, a sprinkler system, storm drainage, and information systems. This project shall develop the RFP Design to be used for the solicitation and award of a Design-Build contract for in-kind replacement recreational facilities and demolition of the old facilities. The Estimated Construction Cost is $16,000,000, and is in accordance with the authorized scope in the DD Form 1391 dated May 2009 (see Appendix A) and other requirements and guidance documents.
