Award Description: The scope of the project includes the replacement of sprinkler heads and the relocation of existing fire alarm pull stations in 11 buildings. Also, additions will be made to the rear of Building 26 to include a locker room, equipment/storage room, and a utility room. There will also be an addition on the northwest side of the building to house the rescue boat and supplies. Another addition will be constructed for men’s and women’s locker rooms and a dinette for the transportation section. Various renovations will be made in the engine room, kitchen area, transportation section, the ambulance bay and the fire apparatus bay of Building 26. All work is to improve the fire and safety items in the areas mentioned above. Bidding documents will be provided to the VA for Construction Period services at the completion of the A/E design.
