Award Description: Invest in public transportation with the puchase of Two-Way Mobile radios as a seamless interface between all modes of transportation as well as the operations and support deparments.
Project Description: DART purchased 140 public safety grade portable radios that included a microphone, antenna, spare battery and charger. These radios are evenly split between 800MHz and 900MHz frequency bands which are currently licensed to DART.
Infrastructure Description: To invest in transportation, environmental protection, and other infrastructure that will provide long-term benefits. Dallas Area Rapid Transits Recovery Act grant was used to purchase Two-Way Mobile Radios for a seamless interface with all modes and departments to include the LRT vehicles.
