Award Description: On May 13, 2009, the Dallas City Council approved the substantial change amendment and the grant agreement was executed on July 30, 2009. On June 3, 2009, the City of Dallas Business Development and Procurement Services Department solicited and received Request for Competitive Sealed Proposals (RFCSP) from area nonprofits for the contractual provisions of services in the following categories: Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing. The proposals were reviewed and ranked by an RFCSP selection committee. Fourteen non-profit agencies were awarded funds in various categories. On August 26, 2009, City Council authorized approval of the contracts. One of the fourteen agencies decided not to implement their contract; thirteen agencies remain under contract. One of the thirteen contracts is still in negotiation, but was approved by Council on August 26, 2009.
Project Description: A training session was held with internal (City) and extermal (sub-recipients) programs on September 15, 2009 to roll-out the program manual and train the programs on the HPRP requirements. Approximately 70 persons were in attendance. Departments/agencies conducting the training included City Housing/Community Services, Intergovernmental Services, City Auditor's Grant Compliance Group; and Metro Dallas Homeless Alliance.
