Award Description: Homeless Prevention Rapid Re Housing Economic Recovery Funds.
Project Description: 1)City of Glendale Financial Assistance Program-The City will provide on average, 12 months of rent subsidy payments directly to landlords at an average subsidy cost of $800 per month. The City will also subsidize or pay the full cost of monthly utilities direct to utility companies on behalf of households, at an average cost of $130 per month. Families will be carefully screened for eligibility and case managed, including referrals to employment services in the Verdugo Jobs Center and other supportive services. The level of financial assistance would be reassessed every three months. The proposed plan and budget proposes to serve 80 households. The City of Glendale has initially screened seventeen households. 2)PATH Achieve Glendale will rapidly house homeless families who have been impacted by the economy. The Sub-recipient will provide rental subsidy and ongoing case management to ensure clients are self -sufficient. 3)Housing Rights Center (HRC) will provide tenant and landlord mediation and supportive service to families impacted by the economy.
