Award Description: Recovery - ML Umbilicals, Access Systems and VSDS Design Support (CLIN 007) The Mobile Launcher (ML) is a large platform with a tower used to transport, service, and launch the next generation launch vehicle and spacecraft (Ares I and Orion). This expenditure is to design the specialized mechanical ML systems and equipment which are a critical part of the overall ML structure. These systems and equipment will fuel and service the launch vehicle and spacecraft systems. The application of funds for these purposes would increase the number of jobs, particularly in engineering, analysis, design, and development.
