Award Description: Louisiana will provide easy to access rebates at a low administrative cost to residential customers who would like to replace old and inefficient appliances with new, state of the art Energy Star appliances. Louisiana will collaborate closely with our local utility partners, retailers, trade associations, and state regulatory officials to offer a turn key, mail in rebate program that is cost effective and easily accessible by all parties. Louisiana will contract with a third party rebate processor for ease of implementation and to ensure transparency and accountability. DNR proposes to calculate jobs created based on the $92,000 per one job created ratio recommended by DOE in the Application Guidance. DNR proposes to calculate energy saved and emissions avoided utilizing the spreadsheet calculator provided by DOE in the Application Guidance.
