Award Description: RECOVERY ACT RESEARCH Experience for Undergraduates in robot research at an urban public college

Project Description: The main objective of the MetroBotics REU Site project is to provide funded academic-year opportunities in robotics research to CUNY undergraduates. The intellectual activities fall within Computer Science, under the heading of 'agent-based' or 'multi-agent' systems. The research centers on studying mechanisms that allow agents to interact and coordinate effectively and to learn from experience. In particular, we concentrate on complex interaction mechanisms that are typically explored in simulation.
