Award Description: This grant will allow for the implementation of eletronic medical records throughout the Community Health & Emergency Services, Inc. primary medical and dental clinics in deep southern Illinois. Other projects include the acquisition of OB/GYN equipment, vehicles, laboratory equipment, a generator, EKG machines, and time keeping system.
Project Description: Contracts executed with KIG Healthcare Solutions to acquire the NextGen practice management software and electronic health records. All servers have been ordered from Dell computer. Online web training is being conducted and senior management is in the process of acquiring necessary NextGen software operation skills. Four vehicles have been delivered and are now in operation. The OB/GYN equipment has been ordered, delivered, and is now in production. Laboratory equipment has been ordered and should be delivered within the next month. The video conferencing equipment has been delivered and has been installed.
