Award Description: The CIP will provide needed repairs/renovation for the First Care Clinic including a new nurses station and a bariatric exam room. Additionally, funds will be used to establish electronic health records (EHR) that are CCHIT certified.

Project Description: Because the First Care Clinic building is over fifty years old, clearance from the State Historical Preservation Office was necessary prior to the release of CIP funds. Notification of clearance was received September 2009, and activities under the CIP Renovation project will begin in October 2009. First Care continues to move forward with implementation of an electronic health record (EHR). The practice management system is in place and the administrative team anticipates a go-live date of March 2010. EHR preparation activities, such as training, are currently being scheduled.

Jobs Summary: No jobs have yet been created because construction has not yet started. (Total jobs reported: 0)

Project Status: Less Than 50% Completed
