Award Description: The Upper Cumberland Primary Care Project proposes to use CIP funds to assist in building two new health clinics to replace outdated and inefficient clinic sites (Clay and Jackson). The new design will enhance patient flow therefore improving both patient and system outcomes. The project also proposes to use the grant to expand two existing sites (Macon and Warren). Both sites are in need of additional space to increase their ability to accommodate larger numbers of patients more efficiently. Additionally, the grant funds will be utilized to replace flooring in one clinic site (Cannon) and repair the parking area in another site (Van Buren). Both of these repairs are imperative to the safety and comfort of both staff and patients. Finally, funds will be used to purchase equipment such as EKG machines and dental equipment necessary to improve the function of various clinic sites.
