Award Description: Capital Improvement Program
Project Description: In this quarter CHS completed a complete installation of a new state of the art telephone system for the facility. The prior phone system was 13 years old and could only adequately manage 1/2 of the call volume received by the health center each day. This new phone system will make a huge difference in the ability of CHS to communicate with our patients. The second major project this quarter is an infrastructure/renovation project which is still in process. New office spaces were created to move administrative staff out of areas that should be used for clinical purposes. The administrative office buildouts are complete and employee's are moved. The pharmacy is currently being completed and then they will move. Then CHS will complete this stepped process by adding clinical space in our behavioral health department to support the significant increase in demand for that service.
Infrastructure Description: increase capacity to provide medical and behavioral health services for underserved populations in the north end of Hartford CT.
Jobs Summary: Construction jobs, architect and engineering jobs, HVAC jobs, IT and Telephone technology jobs such as sales, installation, production. (Total jobs reported: 8)
