Award Description: Community Development

Project Description: To date, planning and design is half done for the sidewalk project. We hope to develop 3/4 of a mile of sidewalks within a targeted low/mod neighborhood. The emergency rental assistance project has been authorized for $17K to help prevent homelessness. The City is awaiting the first invoice expected in October.

Infrastructure Description: The improvements to sidewalks, street crossings and removal of ADA impediments will provide accessible connections to jobs and services within the low/mod target neighborhood. Approximately 3,500 feet of new sidewalks will be created. The project will increase the property values of the low/mod income neighborhood. By improving accessible pedestrian access to jobs and services, energy dependance will be reduced.

Jobs Summary: None as of 9/30/09 (Total jobs reported: 0)

Project Status: Less Than 50% Completed
