Award Description: ARRA Supplemental Funding for Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF): Description: Provide child care assitance to low income working families and fund activities to improve the quality of child care.'
Project Description: The Tribe will work in collaboration with local schools to enhanve the before and after school programs. The focus will be on the enhancement of literacy, math, science, and health. The Tribe will also be providing grants to childcare providers to enhance their facilitites. Also, the Tribe will be providing training to childcare staff to further their knowledge in early childhood education. A portion of the funds will also be used for technology enhancement withing hte childcare program this will help insure proper data recording, provide resources for families in the program to do job search and improve job skills as well as provide on-line training for childcare providers.
