Award Description: ARRA-2009 Strengthening Communities Fund - State, Local and Tribal Government Capacity Building Program. The goal of the program is to build our capacity to partner with community-based and faith-based non-profits and to provide training and technical assistance to help nonprofit and faith-based and community organizations better serve those in need and to increase nonprofit organizations' involvement in the economic recovery

Project Description: DCF hopes to expand the market of high performing organizations with the capacity required to access major funding opportunities. Our specific goals are: 1. Provide capacity building training and technical assistance, education, and easily accessible information on ARRA opportunities to up to 500 organizations dedicated to serving Wisconsin's most vulnerable populations. 2. Identify up to 10 high quality service organizations that lack the capacity to access state and federal funding and invest targeted resources (in the form of individualized, intensive technical assistance) that ultimately position these organizations to grow to scale and access state and federal funding.
