Award Description: The purpose of this ARRA award is to enhance the data processing capabilities in the PI’s lab. The lab studies structure and function of cellular protein synthesis machinery, the ribosome. Research work in the lab involves extensive image processing and molecular interpretations of large cryo-EM datasets. The ARRA funds have been made available to purchase additional computer hardware (computing nodes and workstations) so that the on-going research project can be expedited and completed in a timely manner
