Award Description: Airport Development - Rehabilitation of Taxiway Delta with a Portland cement concrete pavement overlay, associated reconstruction for tie-in locations at Taxiway A, Runway 18/36 (2 tie-ins) and Runway 4L/22R, and adjusting the existing taxiway lights to grade. Optional additional work items include construction of new base mounted LED taxiway lights along Taxiway D, and construction of facilities (cans, conduit and pull wire) for future taxiway centerline lights to provide for future SMGS route along Taxiway D from Taxiway A across Runway 18/36 to Runway 4L/22R. This will require saw cutting, removing and repairing existing pavement on Taxiway A across Runway18/36 and on Runway 4L/22R.
Project Description: Contractor mobilization, site preparation, pavement removal, electrical removal, drainage removal and installation, grate inlets and junction boxes, earthwork.
Infrastructure Description: Rehabilitation of Taxiway Delta with a portland cement contrete pavement overly will strengthen the taxiway allowing use by heavier aircraft and provide for two-way taxiing to and from the west side ramp thus increasing safety and reducing delays. The current asphalt taxiway surface is severely deteriorating and will be replaced with a new higher strength, lower maintnance portland cement concrete pavement overlay.
