Award Description: MISSOURI DNR WAS AWARDED A STATE CLEAN DIESEL FUNDING ASSISTANCE PROGRAM GRANT TO FUND A RETROFIT/REPOWER/REPLACEMENT PROJECT TARGETING DIESEL VEHICLES IN THE SAINT LOUIS, KANSAS CITY, SPRINGFIELD AND SOUTHEAST MISSOURI AREAS. THE GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE GRANT IS TO REDUCE DIESEL EMISSIONS AND IMPROVE AIR QUALITY.
Project Description: During this quarter no retrofit/replacement/repower projects were completed. All subgrants were signed and returned by our subgrantees. The RFPs were released on July 31, 2009. The deadlines for the RFPs were September 30, 2009. Forty-nine applications were received by all four subgrantees combined. The total funding amounts requested from RFP applicants was $1,919,464.26.
Jobs Summary: Missouri DNR only counted jobs that were reported as created or retained. In Saint Louis area jobs retained were 0.05 FTE. In Springfield area jobs retained were 0.14. Kansas City and Southeast areas did not have any jobs created or retained for this reporting period. Total FTEs retained for this reporting period is 0.19. In St. Louis, jobs were retained and were figured on a normal 40 hr week. Work was 57 hrs = 57/1040 = 0.05 FTE. This was all administration work done by the Executive Director of Saint Louis Regional Clean Cities for this subgrant. We used 1040 hrs to figure the FTE because this grant was awarded to the department 4-2-09. In Springfield, jobs were retained and were figured on a normal 40 hr week. Work hrs were 153 hrs = 153/1040 = 0.14 FTE. This was all administration work done by the Director of the Ozark Center for the Sustainable Solutions at Drury University for the subgrant. We used 1040 hrs to figure the FTE because this grant was awarded to the department 4-2-09. The 0.19 jobs does not contain any Missoui DNR positions. (Total jobs reported: 0)
