Award Description: !Mothers' Part-Time Employment! is an analysis of NICHD ECCRN data (focal child birth through 5th grade) to identify the conditions under which mother's part-time employment facilitates family functioning and the conditions under which mother's part-time employment serves as a barrier to good family functioning.
Project Description: Staff has been hired and data extaction has begun. Estimation of unconditional growth curves has begun also. Literature reviews on mother's employment have been updated and reviews of change over time on all major constructs have begun. The creation of a first manuscript (a narrative review) has begun.
Jobs Summary: This ARRA Supplement created 1 part-time (20 hr/week) graduate assistant position and paid partial summer salary for two faculty members. Dr. Buehler committed .8 of a summer month and Dr. O'Brien committed .5 of a summer month. All would be considered jobs created as faculty appointments do not include summer assignments nor pay.
