For the Community Colleges these are the following job types: curriculum faculty; curriculum academic administration positions, including directors, deans, and support personnel who support and/or supervise curriculum programs; positions involved in the operations of the college-at-large (excluding the plant operation and executive management), including staff working in human resources, communications, planning, institutional effectiveness; and student services staff, including admissions officer, registrars, counselors, career guidance staff, placement officers, and financial aid administration. For the Universities the job type was: Instructional Faculty. North Carolina acknowledges that jobs created/saved were calcuated in accordance with the reporting guidance. North Carolina also acknowledges that for IHEs, the grant funds paid for salaries in a portion of the first quarter of the award period (and will pay for a fractional portion of salaries in a future reporting period), and therefore the number of FTE positions saved will decline in future reporting periods.
