Award Description: Interfaith Community Health Center (ICHC) will utilize IDS funding to hire six (6) new employees, effectively doubling our current clinical capacity at our Ferndale clinic location. New hires include: 1 full time dentist; 2 dental assistants; 1 full time ARNP; 1 full time medical assistant; and 1 full time front desk receptionist.
Project Description: ICHC has hired 1 full time dentist: 2 full time dental assistant's. We are actively recruiting with these funds for 1 full time nurse practitioner (ARNP); this position has not been filled. When the ARNP position is filled we will hire support staff: 1 full time medical assistan and 1 full time receptionist. To date we have seen 177 new unduplicated dental patients (205 visits); 11 of the 177 patients have been uninsured.
