Award Description: Community Care Network of Virginia, Inc. (CCNV), a community health center owned and governed provider network, was legally incorporated as a statewide network organization in 1996 consistent with the Affiliation Policies of the Bureau of Primary Health Care. CCNV has a long, successful history of providing integrated network based services and programs to Virginia’s health centers since its inception including the acquisition and implementation of a centralized practice management system, help desk and support infrastructure commencing in 1999. CCNV will be responsible for the planning, development, implementation, maintenance and support of the Patient Kiosk. In addition, CCNV will be responsible for data collection, aggregation, reporting and associated performance improvement efforts. These HIT functions which would be supported by this grant award are described in detail in the attached Workplan and organized as follows: 1. Facilitating the development of the final design and inclusive functionality contained in the Kiosk with Network providers and staff. 2. Development and design of interface programming. 3. HIPAA compliance, security, confidentiality and data integrity 4. Training of staffs 5. Development of training materials 6. Maintenance and support of the Kiosk
Project Description: The Scope of Work contract has been finalized and signed with the kiosk vendor. Final pricing from EMR vendor for programming also established. Kiosk vendor and EMR vendor currently working on data field programming which will allow kiosk content to be uploaded directly into the electronic health record. Kiosk testing using the PHQ-2 and PHQ-9 screening forms will begin in 4th QTR. of 2009.
