Award Description: CSR received funds for a three-year period from the Department of Justice?s Office of Justice Programs? Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) to assist grantees awarded grants in one of five programs?State and Local Law Enforcement Assistance Program: Combating Criminal Narcotics Activity Stemming from the Southern Border of the United States (Southern Border Program), Correctional Facilities on Tribal Land Competitive Grants Program (Tribal Construction), the Assistance to Rural Law Enforcement to Combat Crime and Drugs Program (Rural Law Enforcement), the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grants (JAG), and Edward Byrne Memorial Competitive Grants Program (Byrne)?to report quarterly performance data on program activity supported using ARRA funding. In order to achieve this end, CSR was contracted to design customized web-based, data collection and reporting modules for each program and add them to an existing BJA data collection instrument designed and managed by CSR called the Performance Measurement Tool (PMT). In addition, CSR was also asked to help refine each programs? performance measurement indicators, to provide analytical reports on each programs? performance measurement data, train and provide on-going technical assistance to grantees using the PMT to report ARRA funded activity, and to host the data collection website and to maintain a database containing all programmatic data on each program.
Project Description: April ? June 2009 Designed, completed and tested pilot reporting module for the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grants (JAG) and added it to the PMT. During this period there was also two on-site training sessions held at New Castle, DE and Sykesville, MD for JAG grantees on how to use the new JAG PMT reporting module. July ? September 2009 2629 JAG ARRA grantees registered in PMT training events. 1958 grantees participated and were trained in how to use the new JAG PMT reporting module.
