Award Description: Title: ARRA Supplemental Funding for the Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF); Description: Provide child care financial assistance to low-income working families and fund activities to improve the quality of child care

Project Description: The Agency will be investing in systems to streamline administrative processes and a professional development registry. The Agency also plans quality initiatives that include professional development, child assessment, and program environment support.

Child Care Providers reported a total of 687.65 full time equivalent (FTE's) jobs retained/created for classroom teachers and assistants plus 6.50 FTE's through school readiness system. These 694.15 FTE's were calculated based on OMB guidance. However, the number of individuals employed as a result of this award is estimated to be 1,607. 24,144 children were served in the school readiness program with these funds.
