Award Description: The City plans to utilize its EECBG grant funds to address energy efficiency and conservation efforts in public facilities. This will be accomplished through the rehabilitation of facilities that provide basic services to residents or activites that promote energy efficiency and conservation through rehabilitation or retrofitting of existing buildings
Project Description: This project will assist the City develop, promote, implement, and manage localized energy efficiency programs. This project is intended to: 1) reduce fossil fuel emissions in a manner that is environmentally sustainable and that maximizes cost savings and other benefits; 2) reduce the total energy use; and 3) improve energy efficiency in the transportation, building, and other appropriate sectors.
Infrastructure Description: To preserve and create jobs and promote economic recovery
Jobs Summary: Any created or retained jobs will be assoicated with the installation of devices or methods relating to energy efficiency. These jobs will relate to any on site contruction on site relating to building retrofitting as well as the production of any required components. (Total jobs reported: 10)
