Award Description: The PA Recovery Act State Energy Program will be utilized for the following programs: PA Green Energy Works will fund grants for the deployment of green energy projects, including wind, solar, biogas and combined heat and power projects. Sustainable Business Recovery is offering funding for innovative advanced energy projects for businesses interested in locating or expanding their alternative energy manufacturing or production operations in PA. PA Energy Harvest is offering funding for innovative advanced energy deployment projects for schools, non-profits, and local governments. Green Development Loan program will be established to leverage multiple projects resulting in clean energy and energy efficiency financing for building retrofits, equipment replacement and new construction. The PA Geothermal Funds will begin a revolving loan fund to fund the incremental costs of geothermal equipment and installation to save 60% of the heating and cooling costs in new homes, schools, nonprofits, and local governments.
