Award Description: ARRA Supplemental Funding for Weatherization Assistance to Low-Income Persons: To reduce energy costs for low-income families, particularly for the elderly, people with disabilities, and children, by improving the energy efficiency of their homes while ensuring their health and safety.
Project Description: As this is the first report for WAP ARRA funds, most activity has supported ramp up of workforce and infrastructure.
Jobs Summary: There were four assessor/inspector assistant jobs, one weatherization clerk II job, one weatherization outreach clerk job, one weatherization technician job, and one grants compliance coordinator job created by our subgrantees in the United States. Subgrantees are ramping up to perform weatherization assistance for low income persons. Trainee hours completed for the quarter were 120 hours and were completed prior to employment that occurred in October 2009 for weatherization assessor/inspector positions. (Total jobs reported: 1)
