Award Description: Development of additional parking capacity which is necessary to expand our facilities to meet the patient driven growth of our main health center and to mitigate our use of energy by adding green technology to our physical plant with a photo voltaic solar collector array to provide electricity for the building, and a thermal energy storage (TES) system which will cool our clinical facility while reducing our energy use during peak use periods. This project stands alone and independent of future facility development and the intent is to upgrade the infrastructure in preparation to expand our health center to meet a growing demand for services. This project will expand our parking area by 25,028 square feet (.58) acre and provide 58 new spaces. The Solar energy and TES cooling capacity will provide a green aspect to our expansion efforts and will be designed with capacity to meet the needs of the larger future expanded facility.
Project Description: We have submitted our Notice of Federal Interest, and contracted for the State Historic Preservation Act and the Tribal Historic Act consultations to obtain the letters needed stating there would be no adverse impact on historic and cultural resources. We are in the process of obtaining the Environmental Assessment required for our proposed construction project. We can not move forward with our project until all terms and conditions on the NGA are met and we are in receipt of a new NGA stating the terms and conditions have been satisfied.
