Award Description: Funding to renovate the first floor of our Pecos Medical Clinic and to purchase medical and office equipment for all four facilities operated by Clinica Campesina Family Health Services.
Project Description: CIP Project I Pecos Renovation $1,037,169: Clinica hired an architectural firm to oversee the renovation of the first floor of our Pecos Medical Clinic. Clinicians at this site provide 50,000 primary care visits each year to low-income residents of Adams County in Colorado. The renovated space will house our Call Center, Enrollment Office and Group Visit rooms as well as space for a future dental clinic. Clinica employees worked with the architect to develop an efficient space plan for the first floor of our Pecos Medical Clinic and the firm is in the process of completing construction drawings which will be submitted to the City of Thornton and released for competitive bidding within the next eight weeks. We have drawn down $2,055 to cover architectural fees. CIP Project II Equipment $411,826: This project will improve our ability to provide quality care and enhance business operations throughout the organization. We have drawn down $276,782 of this funding which supported purchasing medical grade refrigerators to secure vaccine storage at our Pecos and People's facilities; outfitting our new People's Clinic with modular work stations, a phone system, fetal monitor, autoclave, ECG machines, exam tables with diagnostics, scanning equipment, pediatric scales with diagnostics and pharmacy start-up equipment; and installing a Business Intelligence Tool that will increase our ability to analyze clinical and financial outcomes throughout the organization.
