Award Description: The South Carolina Department of Social Services has utilized TEFAP ARRA funds to pay costs associated with the distribution of USDA donated food used in The Emergency Food Assistance Program. These costs include, but are not limited to, storage, transportation, and the distribution of such foods. The South Carolina Department of Social Services has provided funds to Food Banks serving low income eligible SC residents at the local level
Project Description: During the current reporting period, the South Carolina Department of Social Services and its one (1) subrecipient agency utilized TEFAP ARRA administrative funds to store, transport, and distribute USDA donated foods associated with The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP). The South Carolina Department of Social Services distributed 100% of TEFAP ARRA funds to support Food Banks serving low income eligible SC residents.
