Award Description: The Fogarty International Clinical Research Scholars & Fellows Support Center @ Vanderbilt University – Association of American Medical Colleges (FICRS?F) requests an administrative increase for the Fogarty International Clinical Research Scholars Support Center @ Vanderbilt?AAMC award. In light of the new federal stimulus package and its mission of job creation, the FICRS Support Center is ideally placed to create up to 26 new jobs in the field of biomedical research and training. Discovery from these talented individuals will, in turn, increase American medical research competitiveness. Additionally, the Support Center will use this supplement for career development events and scientific meetings, as well a pilot fellowship program for young investigators from NIH Academic Research Enhancement Award (AREA) Grant eligible Universities.
