Award Description: Each of the following pavements (Taxiway 'A' west of Taxiway 'R'; Taxiway 'R' southeast of Taxiway 'A'; all connector taxiways from Taxiway 'A' to Runway 9R-27L; portions of Taxiway 'U' and adjacent apron; Taxiway 'H'; Taxiway 'S'; and southwest portion of FIS apron) will be rehabilitated by texturizing, overlaying, and remarking. Isolated areas of pavement repair or reconstruction may also be required. These pavements were generally resurfaced 20 or more years ago and the existing surface is at the end of its useful life. This project also includes all painted runway hold position marking at the Airport, per new FAA standards.
Project Description: Milled, overlayed, and applied temporary marking to Taxiway 'A', Taxiway 'R', and connectors. Began demolition of F.I.S. Apron pavement. Replaced approximately 83,000 feet of airfield wiring and 400 edge lights. Constructed concrete sign pads and installed three electrical manholes.
Infrastructure Description: To invest in transportation infrastructure that will provide long-term economic benefits and enhance the National Aviation System. Additionally, to preserve and create jobs and promote economic recovery.
