Award Description: Invest in public transportation through the following objectives?. 1. Fleet Maintenance and Vehicle Replacement & Expansion 2. Maintenance Facility Expansion and Upgrade 3. Radio/Data Coverage Upgrade (Includes the transition to cellular service for Paratransit fleet) 4. Upgrade Customer Service Phone System 5. Expand Security Surveillance System to Salmon Creek Park & Ride 6. Pour ADA enhanced, concrete bus pads (Transit Enhancement Funds) 7. Fleet & Facility Preventative Maintenance

Project Description: As of September 30, 2009, this grant has supported C-TRAN's ability to adequately maintain its fleet and facilities in an atmosphere of rising costs. In addition, the grant has allowed for work to start on installing a closed circuit television security camera system at the Salmon Creek Park & Ride. It has allowed for the purchase of three vehicle lifts for the maintenance facility (replacing equipment that are past their useful lives) and for the purchase of a new fule managment software system for the fleet. The grant has supported the enhancements of several bus stops to be more ADA accessible and has also allowed for work to begin on expanding and improving the data/radio coverage for the Paratransit fleet.

No new jobs were directly created as a result of this grant. 1-Vehicle Maintenance Work 2-Facility Maintenance Work 3-Design/Engineering for the Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) Security Camera System at the Salmon Creek Park & Ride 4-Construction related to installing electrical conduit for the CCTV System. 5-Installation of CCTV System at a Parking Ride 6-Technology Work for fuel management software System 7-Technology Work related to expanding and improving the data/radio coverage for the Paratransit fleet 8-Consturction Work realted to the pouring of ADA enhanced concrete bus pads. (Total jobs reported: 45)
