Award Description: The City of Tullahoma Police Department wishes to improve and enhance its current law enforcement efforts through technology improvements and training as well as increased efficiency by replacement of an older police cruiser. The City of Tullahoma wishes to participate in the Economic Recovery Act of 2009 by promoting a more capable infrastructure designed to increase the modern Law Enforcement Officer?s efficiency and capacity by better utilization of current information technologies and replacement of older transportation with an economical current model. The City of Tullahoma Police Department is specifically asking for a new police cruiser to replace an ageing and inefficient unit currently used. In addition, we are asking for funds to train front line officers in the use of modern integrated records management software so they may use new information technologies for increased safety and more effectively utilize patrol time. Finally we are asking for funds to procure Cellular broadband aircards for wireless connectivity to departmental servers, state informational websites and other real-time information resources necessary for modern law enforcement officers.
